Another radio conflict that in the end adds up to nothing.

I do realize over time that people who have never gone to college end up repeating the same recycled garbage and analogies that revolve around in their head.  My friend, Jon, is very good at examining spiritual complexities that people have to face in their everyday walk with God.  He has breadth and depth on the subject.
When it comes to politics, he has a tendency to "label" friends of the opposite party such as "liberal" "feminist" "socialist" "communist" "comrade" etc.  He has pre formed definitions about these labels and surrounding ideology as well as uninformed conceptions of the American communist movement and terrors of maximal capitalism.
He has become simply adamant about his support and stronghold for Donald Trump and what that represents for the future of America.  He won't accept anything less or any contrasting ideology or he also berates Don, I and others constantly about Hillary Clinton's qualities and physical stamina.
I think working 12 hours a day with a dog and bossy woman has gotten under his skin.  He has always been tremendously fair and tolerant of other people with longstanding patience.
He went off the rails last night just because I was trying to classify voters as urban, educated in major cities as opposed to rural, Southern voters who rallied around Trump.  He thought I was trying to pigeonhole him as a so called dumb voter.  But I was only strictly talking about demographics, NOT HIM.
Either way, he feels his Trump voice can't be heard even though 7 of our 8 last callers were clearly conservative and had an hour of air time a piece.  Albert has replaced Jon as one of the three key cohosts and I doubt Jon will be back on the show for 5-6 months.  He has a demanding job 7 days a week which is 12-15 hours a day and rarely has time for himself.
I am not sad about it.  It was meant to be.  We completed 301 episodes since March, 2014.  There was a lot of tension on the show the last few weeks and now a mitigating circumstance led to the departure of Jon by his choice.  Don, Albert and I will bring more local politicians and local/regional activists into the mix which will appeal to the Youth/Gen X and millenials.

Ex wife and New wife corresponding through Facebook comments.

Hi Gail, Craig's new wife. I am not in a contest with you to win Craig back. If I make one reference to my past, good or bad, I think you should "not" hit the comment button. You won the sequential prize, what you might call "him." I won wisdom and backpeddling out of a emotionally benign marriage that was doomed to failure after the only light in our lives, our daughter died. Words are heavy. Words have meaning. But don't read into them too much. My post was a point of reference. Your words were cutting.

"And it cuts like a knife. He's outta my life." - Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney

I am too hungry now to rant. So I will reep my waffle dinner at Dennys.
Some things just aren't worth the eventual effort.
I have footnotes for my upcoming novel to be tagged soon.

Later today: This is my personal journal, so if you see something on here you don't like then its better not to ready. In diary format, it can happen. Anyways, Gail is a really good hearted person. She is there for me 100 percent even though she could choose to be selfish. Due to the fact that my daughter died, she probably more sympathetic. Gail is the second wife of my first husband. I would not have posted tonight what I posted today earlier. It just kind of caught me off guard Gail would be so direct. Maybe a comment about my Ex is something she could absorb and sit back and reflect on rather that comment. I dunno. Its all good. Maybe she is trying to clean up my mess.

My little talked about marriage that ended 17 years ago

Is being married 10 years a long time? I think when you get married at 23 and make it to 33, it is. Craig and I had an often tumultuous marriage but interest wise, we were perfectly right for eachother. We were both history buffs, academians, not out for pleasure seeking and could mold a life together peacefully. We started our life together in Norfolk, Virginia, when he was in the Navy. We had one car and I used to drive him to work at 630 a.m. It was about 9 miles round trip. Later on, we bought two mopeds that were stolen within a one year period. The suspects were caught and I was required to testify in the hearing. I think I am rambling now. I think I am getting away from the gist of this testimonial blog. I am doing a radio show tomorrow on http://www.ernestradio.net and I will be sharing some of the hardships I have had in recent years regarding overcoming memories of my first husband, death of my daughter on Christmas Day 1992 from a failed heart transplant and the next several years of my life including the birth of my son in 1998. More powerfully, is that time and distance does heal things for the most part but as you get older, some situations and memories creep back in. Those experiences can be soul stirring. Craig was a good, reliable, stoic husband. But that fact of the matter was, we never emotionally melded or meshed. After our 20 month old daughter died in 1992, we became more emotionally splintered and whatever residue of love we had for each other, died. I had cheated on him in 1985-6 with another man and became pregnant with the other man's child. I lost that child at 26 weeks, consider a stillborn. By the time I got pg with Alexis 4 yrs later, things were better btwn us but Craig told me on the advent of our divorce that he had never forgiven me for that behavior even though he agreed to raise the other man's child, who happened to be of another race. I was going to doing a blog of emotional watershed but now things have changed and my son just got home from a party. God bless all who reads this and listens to my show Sunday at 5 p.m. Pacific time, which is Tomorrow April 17, 2011. The call in number is 347-989-1942 and the show's topic is spiritual reclamation and forgiveness and finding God/Jesus.

The temptation is....

to share before the capsule ripens. There are two separate activities between writing a novel and blogging. You can't put the jewels or cherished memories in the blog becuz then no one will read the book. The book is a gift and in my case, a capsule of my life in Stoughton, Wisconsin. So the book will begin and follow Alexis Hoffman's life and death. It will include all the relationships I formed there which were mainly good and the ones that went sour. I may not get too deep into my split with Craig. His wooden feelings erupted in that final hour of that final year in Dec. 1993, not unrightfully so but an accumulation of our griefs tethered and our separate directions.
