Lost 10 lbs and Grandma's Marathon

I am training for Grandma's marathon and I have lost 10 lbs.
I have to strengthen my stomach.  My legs are strong enough.
I ran 3:42 in 1990 in the L.A. Marathon after receiving a Charley Horse at mile 21.  I was on a 6:30 mile pace the first 9 miles.  I faded the last 3 miles.  I could have finished in 3:25 or so.  

I want to lose 50 lbs by May 30th.  Is it possible?  If I remain disciplined.  My friend, Slick, fasted 10 days with no water or food.  I don't want to be that extreme.
