Cross Country Running

Now that I am back up here in Minnesota, in Duluth, I have good memories of my cross country days.  In 1977, I led my team to the State Cross Country Championships, being the top runer on the team.  Here is an article I found about Lyle Helke, who coached women's cross country for 34 years at White Bear High School and White Bear Mariner.  His record and service stands alone in longevity and dedication.  Our 1977 team was the only one that won state.  He also coached Track and Field 34 years....in distance.
