Edwin was the buffer between the future, altruistic dream in the 80521 and the bitter reality of remaining in the iron range refuge plagued with miscounted traces of an aged rock bed of muscovite, granite and slate traced as hardened crystals of a death love match and planetary ejection.  She could pick up and leave but her son's legacy was not solidified.  He chose the survival mode over raw ambition with his mother as a backup.  Fallon made her marginal choices pressed against time and pleasure...to compromise til the time was right to leave.....
