Ernest Sewell wrote an autobiographical book about his life. He used to be one of my best friends. There are good passages about his family, his childhood experience, family history, religious background, etc. Although he states in the beginning of the book he is completely honest, he is not apologetic for ringing up 2 phone bills, once at my sisters and once in Minneapolis. He stated he did so, but then wanted sympathy for his situation. He rang up my sister's phone bill $400 and Marguerite's phone bill $1,200 in Minneapolis. People always accepted him and were willing to help him along the way. I helped him out with money in Los Angeles. I dated a guy in 1996-1997 that did not like him and didn't want me to be around him when he moved to Minneapolis. I still talked to him on the phone and brought him to see my mother. The reason Marguerite didn't understand you is because you ate all her food, left a mess and BURNED her.
There are a few flaws in the book. Minnesota has never, ever been a Red State. What the hell? We are the bluest state in the nation. We voted democrat since 1972 and had 2 Democratic VP's from our state - Hubert Humphrey and Walter Mondale. We are BLUE, dude.
Second flaw, I wrote the theme song from "Father, Save Your Skin." Lance set it to music. I wrote the lyrics.
Third flaw, Alice Cooper was Riette Stringfellow's cousin. That's one reason he came to our church.
Fourth flaw, I wrote the Easter Play, "The Stone that the Builder's Rejected" that was performed Easter Sunday at First Baptist Church of Beverly Hills Easter Sunday, 1990. Please identify the author.
Finally, he only changed the names of the people he had conflict with. That would be Marguerite, my twin sister and me. I was a good friend to him and even paid for concert tickets to Janet Jackson in NY. I flew him to Wisconsin to do the lights on my play and took him to the Prince club in Minneapolis. He always turned his back on people in the end and magnified their flaws and minimized his own.
I forgive him, but let's be real. Real friends accept people's shortcomings and make amends. We had a radio show together for 4 years. I branched off in 2014 over disagreements. By then, he had become another person and wasn't living a traditional Christian life.
I have to go to work now.
